library entrance makeover

The 'makeover' of the library entrance has begun...

the old furniture/signs have been removed and the area has had a general tidy-up (including the installation of an air freshener). More changes (including re-badging) to come...

sports equipment promo

New promotional material for sports equipment available for loan from libraries is about to roll (pun)...

game on!

The new games machines (Wii and XBox) now have mobile cabinets and have been placed in the teenage lounge. Looking good!

youth collection FIN!

We have finally completed the construction of the new shelving for the youth collection and added the collection. The graphic novels will be housed here until the slatwall has been installed (Feb?). The new layout looks cool!

farewell Woodcroft stock...

We have been hosting a fair proportion of the Woodcroft library stock (while it is undergoing renovation) but today we said farewell as the boxed collection left us...

youth area shelving

We have started constructing the shelving in the youth area using Ikea™ (modified) shelving (putting a perspex backing onto the standard shelving). Looks like we need to purchase more to get the desired outcome...

student computers

Four of the student computers have been moved to the northern wall to make room for the installation of the new Slatwall™ shelving (coming soon we hope!).

start of the New Year...

This is the end of the first (work) day of the New Year (sigh). It took most of us a while to 'get back in the swing' after the Christmas break but it won't be long until we are 'back up to speed'!
