 The Hungry Caterpillar activity was very popular with storytelling, singing and participation!

 The Solar cars - Seaford was an activity making and racing solar cars - loads of fun.

and there was lots of Lego fun at the Holiday LEGO activities.

The Spring Book Sale came to an end with very few items remaining (lots of happy customers).

 The Spring Book Sale started this week

 and we put up the Mental Health display for October

and moved the CNF collection and some of the ANF collection to accommodate the installation of the Maker Space booth (coming soon).

One of the 'gains' of the new staff rostering system (on trial now) is the tidiness of the books/materials on shelves - case in point is the photo (above) of the medical/health section... nice!

A new (and very white) set of World Book encyclopedia has hit the reference shelves.

Library Lovers Week is well and truly over but we have continued with the blind date with a book. This is where customers can borrow a 'mystery' book (one wrapped to conceal its identity) and hopefully establish a relationship with a type of book/genre that they would not normally select.

It's been fun but sadly, this too is now coming to an end ...

Beneath the Southern Cross exhibition

Over the next few weeks the library will be exhibiting the fantastic work of Stavros Pippos. The exhibition, Beneath the Southern Cross, promotes the book of the same name with selected prints on display for all to see (and purchase). For more information on the work click here.

youth collection FIN!

We have finally completed the construction of the new shelving for the youth collection and added the collection. The graphic novels will be housed here until the slatwall has been installed (Feb?). The new layout looks cool!
