storytelling



Storyteller Ruth Carson captivated the students of Seaford 6-12 school with her stories and description of the practice of storytelling.

The art of storytelling is 'alive and well' and it was well appreciated by all who attended today!

library fumigation


Late yesterday afternoon the library was fumigated (using poisonous atmosphere Pyrethrin) to address the 'bug' issue. This morning there is only a faint odour and we have the doors open and the air conditioning and air filters all going...

Art of Living



Clarissa Tetzlaff performed at the library as part of the Art of Living festival. A skilled harpist (having played the harp from the age of 6) Clarissa created a special atmosphere that was enjoyed by all.

new wireless server


The new 'box' for the wireless network was installed today. The bright blue light of this (upgrade) server indicates that the box is operational and adds to the ambience of the comms cabinet...

new shelf end signs


The new shelf ends have been up for a while now without any signs displaying information about what was down each aisle. That was because there was some delay in acquiring the acrylic sign holders ...

but the wait is over! New signs are now up.

blind date...


Library Lovers Week is well and truly over but we have continued with the blind date with a book. This is where customers can borrow a 'mystery' book (one wrapped to conceal its identity) and hopefully establish a relationship with a type of book/genre that they would not normally select.

It's been fun but sadly, this too is now coming to an end ...
